elving ~ part one
It's even more of handmade Christmas and Solstice this year than ever before. My list is quite lengthy so an early start is need. Apologies for everyone who is cursing me for even mentioning the 'C' word.
Currently I'm wrestling with quilts for my nieces. I don't see enough of them so I'd like something handmade to keep them warm and hug them while we are apart.
Then there is knitting, more sewing, School costumes to make (a gold ring and a calling bird), cooking and clay....
What are you making to give this year?

the elving started early here, too.....but nothing as ambitious as quilts!!! some hats, some scarf/cowls, fingerless mitts......
ReplyDeleteOh I love a hand-knit! Are you going to post pictures?
DeleteDon't worry, the work has started here as well. Slowed down a bit, but still working on it. Went back to work today, so I'm starting to feel human again.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're on the mend Melissa - I'm also glad I'm not the only early Christmas maker!
DeleteDue to popular demand, this was supposed to be the year of the gift socks but Life got in the way. I am thinking that to make up for it, I will ask the family to gift me sock yarn they pick out for themselves and maybe, just maybe over the course of the next year I will be able to deliver.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a great idea! - I must try it!
DeleteIt sounds like you are busy! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make. I am crocheting a cushion and a scarf. Also, anything that does not sell at the xmas craft fairs will be given to everyone I know. x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your craft fair! I bet everyone is hoping that they'll get something homemade from you this year! x
DeleteMaking to give...Actually I am making a book of photographs, I took this Summer to give to the person who graciously offered his home to us. I am so excited about it too xo
