woolly wednesday - may

Oh my, Wonderwool Wales was wonderful!  I have returned home poorer in money but richer in fibres...

Two new drop spindles (I know, I'm greedy), lots of bags of fibres, wools, silks and lots of ideas.

I've started my Quill Hap shawl in a Portland Merino mix. I'm still knitting the central panel in garter stitch which is simple enough for me to start longing for something complicated to do along side it... So as I'm a glutton for punishment I have started Circles blanket - pattern by Amanda Perkin who dyes the most gorgeous yarns....

  1. The Circles blanket is one of the reasons I long to be able to crochet!

Wasn't Wonderwool marvellous ... I was very restrained though ... Woolfest is only 2 months away, less now!

    Love those blues :)

    1. I learned to crochet just so I could! I'm not going to Woolfest (restraint huh?) but I'll definitely return to Wonderwool...

    1. My sister has just bought me a mini skein yarn club subscription for my birthday so I can keep making those circles! I'm up to 50 so far - only 319 in the whole thing!!!

    1. No plans as yet - I'm thinking of being brave and designing a shawl based on watery patterns but I have a whole heap of things to do until then...

The middle picture looks like fun with lots of colours coming together.
